About Violet Peacock

“Wearable Art with Attitude”

Violet Peacock is the work of award-winning milliner and designer Lindsay Halpin, creating sculptural headpieces, masks, and costume with a distinctly theatrical edge.

Blending traditional millinery techniques with a bold, expressive aesthetic, each piece is designed as wearable art — something to be seen, remembered, and felt. From sharply structured fascinators to dramatic stage and costume work, the focus is always on form, movement, and presence.

Originally established in 2010, Violet Peacock gained recognition in Houston, Texas, where the brand became known for its distinctive “Brit-Punk” sensibility — a mix of classic craftsmanship and rebellious styling. Designs have appeared on runways, in editorial features, and on some of the city’s most stylish and creative clients.

Alongside her millinery work, Lindsay also worked within theatrical costume, developing a deeper understanding of construction, performance, and how pieces behave on the body. This influence continues to shape Violet Peacock — particularly in more experimental, sculptural, and performance-led designs.

Now based back in the UK, Violet Peacock is entering a new phase. The work is evolving beyond occasionwear into more theatrical, expressive territory — including masks, costume pieces, and larger-scale designs for performance, events, and creative collaboration.

Every piece is handmade, often one-of-a-kind, and created with an emphasis on individuality. Whether for a wedding, a race day, a stage performance, or something entirely outside the usual categories, Violet Peacock is about creating work that stands apart.

This is not just millinery.
This is wearable art with attitude.
